1. The technician left a large dark grease stain(from his gloves) on my wall next to the indoor opener. There was no effort on his part to clean the area after his work. 2. The technician left a small pile of metal pieces on the floor below where he was drilling/grinding on the door system above. There was no effort on his part to clean this area. The technician made no effort to clean any of the areas after completing the work. HE, AND YOUR COMPANY USED POOR WORKMANSHIP ON THIS JOB! I will not forget it and will gladly relay my findings to any and all my friends who inquire about my experience.

Too soon to render a rating because of the following: 1. A torsion spring was installed on my garage door about twice the size of the one on the door when purchased! 2. Since this torsion spring was installed, I have not been able to get my garage door opener adjusted to operate up and down properly. When attempting to adjust the garage door up and down movement, my Chain and Idler Pulley were damaged and I am in the process of obtaining replacements to see if that will fix my problem or if I need to replace the torsion spring with the one specified in the manual for my garage door.

I CALLED FOR BROKEN SPRING REPLACEMENT ON A SINGLE 3 PANEL DOOR. THE SERVICEMAN WAS PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH HIS INSTALLATION. I AM UPSET THAT I WAS CHARGED MORE THAN 3 TIMES THE AVERAGE COST OF THIS SERVICE. I PAID $1,123. HIS LOWEST QUOTE WAS $995. WHEN I TOLD HIM I HAD BEEN QUOTED $250 TO $350 BY ANOTHER COMPANY. HE SAID THEY QUOTE LOW AND THEN ADD ON OTHER COSTS. I HAVE NOW CHECKED ON INTERNET AND OTHER COMPANIES AND THAT IS NOT TRUE. I FEEL LIKE I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AS AN 80 YEAR OLD FEMALE. THIS WAS MORE THAN MY $1,073 SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK FOR THIS MONTH. I FEEL I WAS TOTALLY CHEATED!!!

I called this company and asked the cost for 2 springs, I was told 364$ out the door or 225$ for 1 spring. Tech comes says its 225 for 1 and doesn't do a deal for 2. After going back and forth he honors the 364$ rate ONLY to tell me I need to replace 2 things bringing the total now to 685. Says he can't replace springs till a bracket and pole is replaced. Such a scam. I paid for it but will not recommend this company. My husband had to beg for a damn warranty. Unbelievable. The tech was barely 20 years old, so I know it's not entirely on him and he has a job to do however his "bosses" and leadership and overall ethics of this company are terrible.

Precision sent a very young tech out who told me because my garage door had an older spring type mechanism that it could not be repaired and the only thing they could do would be to replace it with a torsion style opener. I declined and he charged me $49.99 for the house call. I then called a different company and their tech brought a new spring kit, changed out both springs and all pulleys, greased, oiled, and adjusted the door and charged me half of what Precision had quoted. He also told me that there was not enough head space above my door to install a torsion system. The only reason i'm giving one star is that there is nothing lower. It's a shame that I was charged for no service.

It seems they don't even use your service call charge to apply to whatever you got fixed I won't be using them again

Not happy with transaction. Repairman had sour disposition. Was offended when l questioned charges. I was charged $60 a piece ($120 total) for Linear remotes...Amazon sells them for $25 for two. I feel as though lve been taken advantage of. Very dissatisfied to say the least. I will not use this company again.

So far, not good. Maybe after calling customer service tomorrow I can change my review. I’m not one to leave reviews so the fact that I am should speak for itself. The sales expert who came out to evaluate my issue first of all was scheduled for a 3-5 p.m. appointment. He called me at 4:40 saying “I’m an hour away, you still me to come out?” His attitude on the phone was less than good. He seemed frustrated that I did in fact want to keep my appointment. When he arrived to my home an hour later he called apparently frustrated that I had other people at my home doing work on a totally separate issue & he couldn’t park his car in my driveway. Mind you, my personal vehicle was parked in the road in-front of my driveway as well. Wasn’t sure what the big deal was with that. His apparent attitude carried over for the entirety of the appointment, regardless of the fact that I was still trying to be kind and professional with him. He was sent out because my spring broke after a completely new, top to bottom install of my garage door, motor, track, bearings, spring- the whole shabang just short 3 years ago. I was given completely conflicting information regarding warranties from what I was told on the phone the day before when I called to set the appointment. I was priced an outrageous amount for the replacement of a part that should HAVE NEVER BROKE in just three years. He told me that i probably just opened my garage door too much. Which is just confusing all around to me. Then to top it off he tells me “I can replace all the parts for you today for $800.00 and that will give you a lifetime warranty”- I’m just sitting here wondering if for $800 today he can give me a lifetime then why 3 years ago when I paid $1800+ for the whole dang thing was this “generous offer” not given to me? I simply couldn’t bare the thought of agreeing to do any business with this man so before I sent him on his way I asked “so all that’s wrong with my garage door is the spring? You don’t see any other issues?” He says that’s correct. Just got my email from this oh so kind sales “expert” where he has marked 5 issues that were “failed” on my system in his opinion. I guess he just FAILED to mention those things to me when I asked very specifically. Totally and completely unsatisfied and will no longer be telling my family and friends to use precision for their garage door needs.

Are you kidding? The guys showed up and never attempted to get my door working. Their only solution was new track and a new door. Never made any effort to adjust the door, just said you need a new door. Also, complained about the type of opener I had. I called Farmer and their guy made a few minor adjustments and the door works fine. I felt like Precision was just trying to sell me something.

I gave a one-star not because of the quality of their work but because they never made it that far. They said they couldn't replace doors which didn't seem like a problem to me. They follow a set of rules and somehow my doors didn't fit into their rules. They were unwilling to go that extra mile to find a solution. I will probably need to get a Mom and Pop company with people that know how to get through the tough jobs.

only wanted one spring replaced, had other spring replaced in December of 2020.tech mentioned $900.00 to do what he deemed necessary then cut it to like $550.00. Tech very nice guy,but said due to liability issues could not replace one spring, which made no sense to me. i paid $49.95 service fee and then had spring replaced for $160.00 the same day.

Called for a garage door opener remote that failed on it's own and was under a 1 year warranty. Company had to send a tech out who was 2 hours late past the appointment time. He determined that the remote was bad( my other two still worked). Would not honor the warranty on the remote but would charge me a service fee and sell me a universal remote for 85 dollars. I picked one up at Lowe's for 35 dollars. Waste of one day.

Be sure to ask “what else might I need due to the age of my door?” because the technician clearly knew that based on the age of the house that I was gonna require more than the $255 repair I was quoted. And I was told on the phone by Thomas that if they’d quoted me the $500, I wouldn’t have had them out for the repair. Hmmmmm. Clearly the plan was to get the job with a low quote and then upcharge you for what the believe you’ll need. The repair itself is satisfactory but twice as much as the original quote. Did I need the extra work done? I have no idea. Based on the age of the door, it is possible but folks should know on the front end that the likelihood of only paying $255 is pretty slim.

This rating for the person who comes to our house for an estimate on replacement door. This is not for your products. Person was not frendly at all. Not helpful and not professionally acted. I understand that anyone can be on the bad mood in some days, but I would not understand why you have to transfer your emotions to other people. I can not rate your products or installation services, because I don't get one, but if in the future I will need anything - I will not call to your company in any manner and will not recommend your company to anyone else, just because your employee shows his attitude in the wrong way. Even if our needs not matching your specifications of the services, you can say ,,sorry for can not make it" and tell to people ,,thank you for contacted us and give an opportunity to serve you" instead acting like ,, why you disturbing me?, why call?, keep what you got ", etc. This review is not for anyone who works on telephone as a Customer Service and noway related to anyone else, who may doing their work as should be. I was not planning to write this review on my own initiative, but I am doing this after I received your request for it by email. I didn't wrote anything about this experience on Google as you asked and choose the second option to reply on your website. Thank you for contacting me about my request and follow up on this case.

Quick to respond to door that needed repaired. Door worked fine lifting manually But then employee said I needed a bunch of work done - over $650! Told him I just wanted opener fixed today. Would think about other repair vs replacement later. Got rude w me and family because I didn't go w suggested quote.

I thought the price for the repair was steep, but I needed the door working and so many positive reviews could not be wrong, right? Later I decided to some search on the internet. Basically I was charged 20% over the most expensive price estimates I could find. The invoice list all the parts that were replaced, but does not include their price, nor the price for the labor, just the total price charged. Not transparent, to say the least. It was my fault, I should have done my due diligence before calling them. Will not happen again.

Mechanic Patrick communicated well. Upon initial inspection, he determined unit needed a "control board". The estimate was $300. His next recommendation was a new motor assembly. $600 + additional fees for recommended "stabilizer bar". $87.50. I found a Home Depot "NEW" Champion 1/2 HP assembly available for $218.95 plus tax while he was looking over the system. I give him credit for trying to make the older unit work, BUT, when I told Mechanic Patrick I would pay him for his service call, he said bluntly- You checked online, eh? He said there was a labor charge due for 1/2 hour. He left without returning the system to how he found it. Total charge $72.45 after a $15.00 online coupon the company offers) I will not recommend this company to my neighbors or anyone but DO appreciate their being available during this trying time. However, NOTHING, can excuse the excessive and usury surcharges this mechanic recommended without batting an eye. Subsequently, I found a manufacturer replacement control board for $71.95 and will install it myself and failing that--- I can buy a brand new unit for a fraction of getting a "lifetime warranty" from the company. Patrick was candidly stoic and absolutely insisted on the social distancing required in this chaotic time, to which I respect and honored. But he ought to have returned the system to how he found it and he was clearly unhappy I was NOT going through with paying hundreds of dollars more.

Our garage door kept sticking and making terrible noise. In my opinion, Precision Garage Door never fixes anything. First time out we paid over $600. Second time out they claim it is the trim so they said they cleaned it and should not happen anymore. Next time out same story. Says the sun is making the trim stick (It is January). Now they want $207 to fix. I will be putting notices on our neighborhood facebook to not use these people (427) homes and also on google.

Patrick Stockton has repaired my garage door. He was detailed in his explanation of the problem(s) and has completely repaired the door. I appreciated his openness, comparison of cost of repair vs. replacement; and his professional and friendly manner. Thank you for your service.

The tech was very informative,I dont like the fact of where you charge labor on the time for each job when they can be done at the same time!To run wire on two doors its billed as two hours x 65.00,when each door will take 30 mins and when you need a pulley replaced another 65.00.All this during the installation of 2 new garage doors.

Our service call fee is usually $65.00 for your area, which includes a 25 point inspection (function and safety) of your garage door, opener and all parts. We came to your home to fix a problem that our technicians are professionally trained to do. As a courtesy we gave you a discount on the service fee to $49.95.

I called to get service when my garage door would no longer open more than a third of the way. My neighborhood provided feedback saying that Precision had fixed several garage door springs in the $300 range. With builder garage doors that are all the same I expected the same price range. When the technician showed up, he quoted me a price of $1100! After a lot of back and forth with him and the office (who quoted me $360) I found out that the reason for the price increase is because the garage door manufacturer works with Precision's competitor. Because of this, Precision can't buy the parts needed to repair so they "recommend" to replace the entire thing. It felt a little untruthful. When I couldn't cover the unexpected cost, the repairman took off and that was that. No service, and I'm disappointed and left wondering how Precision fixed the other garage doors in my neighborhood for $300?
