Hunter was very knowledgable and explained clearly what happened and what needed to be done to correct the current damage and replacement of existing parts that potentially would soon go bad. I think it was a bit overpriced but I am pleased with how the door now operates and I expect to not have any future isssues. Very reassuring. I would call Precision for any future work.

Our Garage Door was rebounding when we attempted to close it. Our technician Peyton quickly diagnosed it was due to a faulty spring which was still under warranty. The replacement was made in less than 30 minutes and the door works great. Peyton also checked the condition of the other door and pointed out some potential issues. We thanked him but decided to do nothing at this time. We were very happy with Peyton's courtesy, knowledge and professionalism.

Preston Stockton arrived on time after calling ahead. He assessed the garage opener problems. Preston gave us options for the repair. We made our choice and he quickly went to work repairing the opener. Preston was very knowledgeable about garage doors. He shared that knowledge by patiently explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Preston is great example for the kind of person Precision would want to represent their company: professional, great personality, knowledgeable about services and products, not aggressive about upselling products and services, very respectful.

My technician was Hunter Bridges. He was prompt in arriving and instantly found the problem preventing my garage door from functioning. Not only did he find that the opener had ceased to work, but after repairing that, he checked the other garage door for problems. He found that the single door had a damaged cord and was dangerous. Because of the door's age, he suggested that the motor be replaced. Hunter gave me an estimate for replacement, then worked quickly and changed the motor, keeping me informed of all he was doing. He cleaned up before leaving and gave me an estimate for further work that needs to be done, all while explaining the reasons. I was pleased with his work.

Pros: Customer service line and the tech were friendly. Response time was good! Cons: Massively overpriced compared to the competition. Tech showed up early before I got home, told my wife that a torsion conversion would run 1,710.00 or that he could do a “full overhaul” for north of 2,000.00. He continued to say that our original Torque based system was an inferior product, that Precision wouldn’t install a replacement, and that I would have a hard time finding anyone to do it this week. This was after I was quoted ~600.00 on the phone. After some back and forth I asked the tech to leave some quotes so that I could shop. Imagine my surprise when I found a competitor, my next call, 10 minutes down the road, willing to install a replacement torque based system for ~500.00 the very next morning (Sunday!). I was so excited by the savings I opted to go for the conversion to torsion and spent 720.00 all in. I showed the tech the quotes I received from Precision for nearly 1,000 dollars more and we had a good laugh about it. Like I said the employees seemed nice enough and I am sure they don’t set pricing, but I get the feeling y’all were trying to rip me off here. Enjoy my 65 bucks!
