3/5 stars There are genuinely good things to say about my experience with Precision. The technician was prompt, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The work was completed quickly, my garage door is working properly, and the problems I called about were addressed. He also seemed to make an effort to find available discounts and save me money where he could. From a workmanship and customer-service standpoint, I have no complaints. Unfortunately, I came away from the experience feeling very uncomfortable with the sales and pricing process. I was quoted a little over $2,100 for a fairly extensive hardware overhaul. I asked if the estimate could be sent to me so I could review it independently before authorizing the work, but was told that wasn’t possible. In retrospect, I should have stopped the process there and obtained competing estimates. Instead, I authorized the work, and by the time I reconsidered and asked to hold off, the repair had already begun and the spring tension had been released. Afterward, I researched comparable work and believe I paid roughly $600 more than I reasonably should have expected to pay, even after the discounts that were applied. I understand that Precision positions itself as a premium service and that convenience, prompt availability, quality parts, warranties, and professional technicians have value. I don’t expect the cheapest price in town. But there is a point where premium pricing begins to feel excessive, particularly when the customer isn’t given an opportunity to take the written estimate away and evaluate it before making a four-figure decision. I was also specifically told that the upgraded springs being installed were rated for approximately 55,000 cycles. My final invoice identifies the two installed springs as 20,000-cycle springs. The 100,000-cycle rating shown on the invoice applies to the rollers, not the springs. That discrepancy is disappointing and should not have happened. Ultimately, the door works well, the technician was professional, and I received substantial, legitimate work for my money. This is not a complaint that nothing needed to be repaired or that the work wasn’t performed. My issue is that the combination of very premium pricing, the inability to independently review the estimate before authorizing it, and the discrepancy between what I was told and what the invoice says left me feeling like I had been subjected to a high-pressure sales process and had substantially overpaid. Good work and good service should leave a customer feeling confident about what they purchased. Unfortunately, despite being satisfied with the actual repair, I left feeling like I’d been taken for a ride. That’s why I can’t give the experience more than three stars.

Excellent response time - worked with our availability. Tech was very knowledgeable and professional and took the time to explain all parts that needed replaced and purpose of the parts. We are a returning customer for many years - and he took the time to review all work done here at our home which gave a level of confidence in his ability. Once repaired he went thru the entire door and setup explaining what parts were new. Young Tech but GREAT customer service skills, knowledgeable and very humble young man.

My garage was popping and sticking and the motor was threatening to quit so I gave Precision a call just to see if someone could come and take a look at what was going on and get a quote. I was not expecting the speed at which this company moved! I had Trevor out here within an hour taking a look. He gave me numerous options I could review with prices, expectations, etc. It made my decision extremely easy. Then to find out he could install immediately...mind blown. I was up and running with a new motor and all the necessary things that needed replacing after 16 years and not the best original equipment. He was very thorough in getting me all set up, explained everything thoroughly and answered my numerous questions. Hands down amazing service!

We have always used Precision. We had our spring replaced several years ago, motor went out 4-5 yrs ago and 6-8 wks ago had to have the sensors replaced. Always good to come 24-48 hrs after calling for appt. Willing to answer and explain any questions. We would not use anyone else!

First of all, I was amazed at the speed of service. I made an appointment online at 6pm, the Hunter showed up promptly at 11am the next day. Then, I was amazed that he came equipped with everything he needed to get the job done. He had some reasonable recommendations about improvements he could make, and they were *actual* improvements. Courteous, worked cleanly, quickly, and left the place better than he found it. Sounds silly to be amazed at garage door service, but he really helped out.

Thomas did a great job with a not so great garage. He upgraded my rollers, cables, springs and installed a new Genie garage door opener, replacing one that was a least 30 years old. Price ended up being higher than quoted over than phone as tech found additional things wrong, but overall service was excellent and tech was extremely nice and efficient and cleaned everything up when finished. I would defiantly recommend this company.

I cannot speak highly enough for Patrick, my technician!! I called just to get my bottom seal replaced after not being able to remove the old one, and I was extremely pleased how little it was going to cost! Patrick was surprised I have never had my door serviced after 23 years and it has been making a lot of terrible sounds. So he replaced the drum and cables, large spring, all the wheels and bottom seal for a very reasonable price ?? Precision builds in time for every appointment and carries most supplies with them so they are able to make the repairs then and there instead of having to make another appointment. I would highly recommend Precision to you, you will not be disappointed!! Patrick was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable????

It was new year weekend and spring on Garage Door broke and I figured it wood be Tuesday before I could get Door fixed but Precision came out on Saturday and my tech was Chris and he was such a down to earth person.He had Door repaired in about 1 hrs and he explained what he did. I would give he a 5 star rating
