Went to open door this morning and it would not open due to broken spring. Called Precision and Josh showed up at my home in less than an hour. Forty minutes later the spring was replaced and I was able to get to my appointments on time. They went out of their way for a customer that had never used them before and you can’t ask for anything better than that. Great service and competitive pricing.

The technician who came to our house whose name was Nick was absolutely fabulous. We had a problem with the door opening and closing and coming off it’s tracks. Nick was able to do several adjustments to the door and for the time being the door is working fine. Next spent a good hour here and ended up giving me an estimate to replace the entire door opening system which eventually will definitely need to be done. I was not charged a dime which I found extremely professional and a wonderful way to sell the company he works for. I am starting to have problems again and will definitely need the new door opener installed in the near future. I would with 100% satisfaction recommend precision overhead garage door service. I called Precision after seeing their excellent reviews online for a broken spring on a 16 year old door. They gave me a same day appointment and actually called to say they could do repair 2.5 hours earlier than promised! The service technician, Josh Compton, fully explained that he could just replace the springs (both sides recommended) and provided the cost. He took the time to show me exactly where the other issues were on the door such as wear and tear on bearings, rollers, and cables. Josh was very informative, knowledgeable, and professional and never tried to upsell me on a complete door overhaul. After seeing the deterioration of various parts, I decided to have all components replaced and Josh spent close to two hours overhauling my existing door all the while explaining what he was doing and why along the way. I feel confident that Precision of Knoxville was the right place to call. In addition, their 5 year warranty on the parts and labor just added to my customer satisfaction level.

So I didnt get to use Precision to fix my garage because my home builder used a different company. I still want to write a review on my experience. Tommy came by the house and looked at the damage. Three panels had to be replaced or the whole unit. He gave me the estimates for both which allowed me to make an informed decision. He then explained why it may be better to go the people that installed the door because it would look better. And I can tell you I appreciated that because it was the right thing to do. He then let me know if anything else needed to be replaced to call Precision. When its time to have a spring replaced you know who I will be calling. This experience has ensured that I will use this company going forward. Its the little things that make the difference, and you have gained a customer for the future. Thank you.

I purchased a new garage door and opener to be installed. Disaster installation as installer cut my alarm system plug off of it's cord and threw it away and shoved the cord up into the ceiling of the garage. I found out a couple of days later when the alarm battery backup went dead. When the alarm company came we discovered the problem. I will still give the company a good rating since they did fix the situation and apologized. I would not hold a company responsible for every act that an employee makes as I am confident that they will take care of that problem too. Overall, I do have and excellent product that works well and was fairly priced.

Chose Precision because they replaced the spring on one of my doors a couple of years ago and I was pleased with their service. This time, one of the openers was apparently fried in a power surge. They came out on a Saturday morning on Memorial Day weekend and diagnosed the problem quickly, giving me two options for repair. I chose to replace the opener. I asked them to install the new opener on the double door, as the new one was more powerful than the one that was there (and still worked), and move the old one from the double door to the single door. The two techs did that and installed the interior button, exterior remote and safety sensors in about an hour, maybe less. The new opener is so quiet I thought it wasn't working the first few times I opened the door. I was, again, very pleased with their service and will use them again, which hopefully won't be for a while.
