Patrick was nice from the start and found the problem in about 5 seconds. After an in depth look at the door, he suggested roller and bearing replacement. He walked through the different price options and suggested the deal they had on a more complete door repair that ended up saving me a few dollars while I actually got more components replaced. He had the repairs completed in less than hour and now the door runs smoother and quieter than before. I'm completely satisfied with my service.

Our garage door springs were replaced and a seal was installed on the bottom of the door to provide an airtight seal and prevent rainwater from leaking into the garage. The tech was very knowledgeable and courteous and explained my situation thoroughly. He inspected the garage door and explained what needed to be done to correct its operation. The solution to our immediate problem was to tighten the battery tabs in the openers. This made the $65 service fee seem a bit high.

I bought a AAA coupon to have the door inspected and checked for safety and overall quality and to replace the roller w nylon type. After his eval he recommended, replacing the main spring and all the moving parts and offered a 5 or 10-yr warranty. My door is 13-yrs old. I didn't accept his specific offer but did select to replace the main spring and the bearings along w the rollers (coupon). After removing the bearing I carefully inspected them and determined they were fine and probably serviceable for a number of years (cycles)to come, but I had him to replace the bearing anyway primarily because what he was offering included a middle bearing, which my original Copay installation didn't include. After finishing the door the opening was considering quieter than before which is what I originally wanted to accomplish w the coupon. The service tech, Caleb, was polite, professional and wanted to be helpful, undoubtedly he probably get an adaboy for sales beyond the original service ticket. That said I'm very satisfied w the work he did. It does bothers me somewhat by the serviceable condition of the bearings; seem to be he ought to know the condition of set of 13-yrs old bearing - although number of cycles are the real determining factor which neither he nor I knew. I would recommend Precision for garage door servicing and repair, but do due diligence when evaluating their service recommendations.
