So far, not good. Maybe after calling customer service tomorrow I can change my review. I’m not one to leave reviews so the fact that I am should speak for itself. The sales expert who came out to evaluate my issue first of all was scheduled for a 3-5 p.m. appointment. He called me at 4:40 saying “I’m an hour away, you still me to come out?” His attitude on the phone was less than good. He seemed frustrated that I did in fact want to keep my appointment. When he arrived to my home an hour later he called apparently frustrated that I had other people at my home doing work on a totally separate issue & he couldn’t park his car in my driveway. Mind you, my personal vehicle was parked in the road in-front of my driveway as well. Wasn’t sure what the big deal was with that. His apparent attitude carried over for the entirety of the appointment,regardless of the fact that I was still trying to be kind and professional with him. He was sent out because my spring broke after a completely new, top to bottom install of my garage door, motor, track, bearings, spring- the whole shabang just short 3 years ago. I was given completely conflicting information regarding warranties from what I was told on the phone the day before when I called to set the appointment. I was priced an outrageous amount for the replacement of a part that should HAVE NEVER BROKE in just three years. He told me that i probably just opened my garage door too much. Which is just confusing all around to me. Then to top it off he tells me “I can replace all the parts for you today for $800.00 and that will give you a lifetime warranty”- I’m just sitting here wondering if for $800 today he can give me a lifetime then why 3 years ago when I paid $1800+ for the whole dang thing was this “generous offer” not given to me? I simply couldn’t bare the thought of agreeing to do any business with this man so before I sent him on his way I asked “so all that’s wrong with my garage door is the spring? You don’t see any other issues?” He says that’s correct. Just got my email from this oh so kind sales “expert” where he has marked 5 issues that were “failed” on my system in his opinion. I guess he just FAILED to mention those things to me when I asked very specifically. Totally and completely unsatisfied and will no longer be telling my family and friends to use precision for their garage door needs.

Nathan arrived on time (after calling ahead 20 minutes) and quickly assessed the situation and explained what he could do and needed to do to repair the double garage door that had come off its track. He also evaluated the overall condition of that door as well as the single door. He completed the job efficiently and in a totally professional manner. He is a credit to the company!

Contacted Precision for garage door repair scheduling and they were able to get on it same day within just a couple hours. Tech also was able to arrive early. Michael Hall assessed the obvious mechanical hardware failure and pointed out sign of long wear on lesser components. He showed the price of parts and also a packaged deal for parts and labor offering immediate repairs yet on a Sunday afternoon beginning with getting door back up to liberate entrapped vehicles in garage. And completed a major door hardware refurb on Sunday afternoon within a short time on site and at the quoted estimated price. Cleaned up and left no sign of having been there except for the installed hardware now in place.

Mike came out a few hours after I called the main office to replace our garage door's lift springs. He also replaced 2 outer drive bearings and added a center bearing @the lift point. I have long been concerned that the weight of the door twisted the guide tracks, stressing and at least once, breaking the bolts supporting the tracks. He explained that the door frame, not the track, flexed thus allowing the tracks to twist. He addressed this by reinforcing the outer door frame to stiffen it @the track rollers. He also replaced stripped screws throughout the door frame and lubricated all the pivot points.

We needed a repair to connection of the automatic opener to the door. The service call was performed with 24 hours of the call. Pleasantly surprised that call was answered on a weekend day (vs voice mail), more surprised to get an appointment same day. Michael "Mike" was my technician/consultant and he is FABULOUS. Very knowledgeable. My existing garage door opener equipt was installed by one of the "big" name garage door companies in this area Let's just say that electronic equipt shouldn't be installed where the moisture is going to seep into the unit (and original installer didn't even apply sealant to protect the unit). Michael instantly saw the issue and why I will continue to have problems. Time to upgrade - Mike provided me with a quote for new (better) system with new (better) installation and needless to say, I'll be asking for Mike to install it once purchased. Thanks Precision - you guys are the best!
