Michael Hall serviced the broken spring on my garage door and checked the second door for preventative issues. The doors are more quiet, and I feel confident in his knowledge and in the work he did. We called on Sunday morning because our garage door stopped working. Mike, the service technician, arrived shortly after noon the same day. He quickly and efficiently repaired our door. He was both friendly and professional. We wish every person who we have do work in and around our house was this good! Our door now not only works, but operates much more quietly than it did before. Our ancient garage door spring broke on Thursday evening, and on Friday morning I was calling around hoping to get a person here that afternoon. When I talked to the woman at Precision Garage Door of Knoxville, she was very knowledgeable and helpful, and promised to have a technician at my house between 2-4pm that very day. Josh C arrived on schedule, carefully listened to what I said, and assessed the situation. I agreed to the approach & pricing. Within about 90 minutes, he had the door working perfectly (and more smoothly than it has for years). Josh C did a great job, and I am extremely pleased with his work and the company's responsiveness.

HELPLESS! I couldn't get into my garage and the sun was going down. So far, not good. Maybe after calling customer service tomorrow I can change my review. I’m not one to leave reviews so the fact that I am should speak for itself. The sales expert who came out to evaluate my issue first of all was scheduled for a 3-5 p.m. appointment. He called me at 4:40 saying “I’m an hour away, you still me to come out?” His attitude on the phone was less than good. He seemed frustrated that I did in fact want to keep my appointment. When he arrived to my home an hour later he called apparently frustrated that I had other people at my home doing work on a totally separate issue & he couldn’t park his car in my driveway. Mind you, my personal vehicle was parked in the road in-front of my driveway as well. Wasn’t sure what the big deal was with that. His apparent attitude carried over for the entirety of the appointment,regardless of the fact that I was still trying to be kind and professional with him. He was sent out because my spring broke after a completely new, top to bottom install of my garage door, motor, track, bearings, spring- the whole shabang just short 3 years ago. I was given completely conflicting information regarding warranties from what I was told on the phone the day before when I called to set the appointment. I was priced an outrageous amount for the replacement of a part that should HAVE NEVER BROKE in just three years. He told me that i probably just opened my garage door too much. Which is just confusing all around to me. Then to top it off he tells me “I can replace all the parts for you today for $800.00 and that will give you a lifetime warranty”- I’m just sitting here wondering if for $800 today he can give me a lifetime then why 3 years ago when I paid $1800+ for the whole dang thing was this “generous offer” not given to me? I simply couldn’t bare the thought of agreeing to do any business with this man so before I sent him on his way I asked “so all that’s wrong with my garage door is the spring? You don’t see any other issues?” He says that’s correct. Just got my email from this oh so kind sales “expert” where he has marked 5 issues that were “failed” on my system in his opinion. I guess he just FAILED to mention those things to me when I asked very specifically. Totally and completely unsatisfied and will no longer be telling my family and friends to use precision for their garage door needs.

We had Precision out to our house about 6 years ago to repair a broken spring. Then we opt for a rebuild on all bearings and everything ran really smooth until the other day. The garage door caught on front bumper of our car and make a terrible racket. I turned it off and opened it manually. I looked at it and told my wife that we needed to have Precision come out and have a look. Tomas Travis came out on Saturday. After inspecting the garage door opener he said it would at least need a new sprocket system. He was going to go out to his truck and see if he had the parts. I quickly thought, that with the opener being 15 years old maybe I should look at a new one. He talked to me about it and it was very easy for me to decide to get a new one. There was absolutely NO high sales pitch. Thomas did a great job explaining everything. Then he VERY professional at doing his job. As you know every project has at least one bump, well our old set up tested Thomas and he looked at it and knew what to do. It wasn't long and everything was finished. I called Precision out because of past experiences and would never hesitate to use them again. I will give glowing remarks to anyone looking to use them. THANK YOU THOMAS AND THE TEAM AT PRECISION. And can you believe it...they even have a REAL person answer the phone..WOW. Fair price, quick & friendly service and great employees
