I called to get service when my garage door would no longer open more than a third of the way. My neighborhood provided feedback saying that Precision had fixed several garage door springs in the $300 range. With builder garage doors that are all the same I expected the same price range. When the technician showed up, he quoted me a price of $1100! After a lot of back and forth with him and the office (who quoted me $360) I found out that the reason for the price increase is because the garage door manufacturer works with Precision's competitor. Because of this, Precision can't buy the parts needed to repair so they "recommend" to replace the entire thing. It felt a little untruthful. When I couldn't cover the unexpected cost, the repairman took off and that was that. No service, and I'm disappointed and left wondering how Precision fixed the other garage doors in my neighborhood for $300?

Trapped in the garage with a broken spring! What a way to start the day. Called, friendly voice assured they could help. Had appointment scheduled within 1 hour. Technician called prior to arriving. He was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Assessed the problem and our door was working perfectly and parts replaced in less than one hour, 3 year warranty to boot. Excellence at its best!!

Our service Precision tech was James. He called to let us know he was available earlier than our scheduled time if we wanted him to come then and so our story begins. He arrived almost immediately and was pleasant, polite, and his appearance showed he cared. We told him what we thought, and he smiled and told us what he knew it was within minutes. James then showed us and explained in easy-to-understand language what our problem was and how to fix it. He gave us options, then suggestions with cost to repair or replace. No pressure just honest this or that, our decision. We sure appreciated him.

As luck would have it, the garage door spring broke on Sunday morning, leaving my truck stuck in the garage. Not knowing who I could call on a Sunday I googled for garage door repair, and Precision Doors came up, and they were in my area, as well as Sunday service. After a quick chat online, I was able to set up an appointment for the afternoon. The tech arrived close to the scheduled time and quickly evaluated the solution to repair my door. He quoted the cost and what was included, which I agreed to, and he went right to work and completed the job in about an hour. It was a job well done, and I do recommend this company for quality and customer service.

We called around 5 p.m. to make an appointment because both spring broke at the same time on our garage door. We were told that someone would be to our house between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. He arrived at 6 p.m. just as we were told! The technician was friendly and professional. He gave us an accurate estimate and got right to work. He knew just what to do and completed everything within about 30 to 40 minutes.
