I went with Precision because the TV commercials struck me as a company and individuals that, not only really knew what they are doing, but also because of the sincerity of the individuals in those commercials. I thought that my only problem with my door not opening was a faulty safety "beam" receiver. When Hunter showed up, on time (he also texted and called me to let me know exactly when he would arrive) he quickly evaluated my door and pointed out that not only was it not up to code with only one coil spring, but also the worn out bearings on the pipe (on which the springs are located) was being cut through by those faulty bearings. Additionally, he said my door was out of balance. I had no idea what that meant until the work was completed. Hunter showed me what he meant; he disconnected the drive chain and the door rose a foot or so by itself. Now it is "balanced". I went with the complete rebuild, everything except the door itself and the Genie opener (motor) assembly. I also added a keypad outside so that I didn't have to carry a remote opener whenever I wanted the door closed as I worked in the yard. I highly recommend Precision for ANY garage door work you need. It is Black Friday, Nov.28. It is 5 am and I am getting ready to take my wife to my daughter's house for shopping. I pushed the automatic door opener and heard what sounded like a gun blast as the cable/spring snapped off. I called Precision Garage Door since we were past customers for over 14 years. The lady who answered the phone was courteous and sympathetic to our predicament. The technician, Chris Pease, called, texted, and arrived promptly on time even though it was the day after Thanksgiving on a busy Black Friday. He was very pleasant, thorough, and did an excellent repair job. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service, and their technician, Chris Pease, should you need repairs on your garage door.

I called to have my garage door opener looked at, then your tech came and told us that we need to upgrade are openers. Instead of just giving us a quote and letting us talk about it and he took advantage of my wife’s good nature and got her to do the service and she knows nothing about garage doors or anything. I would have like to have had a phone call or something when it came to this big of a deal. $4,200 is ridiculous. I think we was rip off

They sent several follow-up text & confirmations including approx. arrival time. This communication was very helpful in my Mom coordinating the garage repair with her work schedule. The technician, Preston Stockton, worked on my two garage doors. One was in really sad shape and would not open. The other just needed a "tune up".
